Clindamycin Injection: Clindamycin is employed in treating acne (pimples). Acne is a skin disorder caused by hair follicles plugged with oil and dead skin cells. Blackheads, pimples with pus, and large/red bumps are the symptoms of it.

Clindamycin has ‘Clindamycin’ in it, which inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, preventing the growth of bacteria. It also exhibits a bacteriostatic effect, preventing bacteria from multiplying.

Clindamycin is to be used only externally (on the skin). Do not get it in contact with the eyes, eyelids, lips, or mouth. As with all medicines, Clindamycin also brings about side effects, though not everyone develops them. These common side effects of Clindamycin are burning sensation, itching, dryness, redness, oily skin, and peeling of the skin. The majority of these side effects do not need to be treated medically and fade with time. If these side effects do last longer, please talk to your doctor.

Medical Benefits:

  • Clindamycin is an antibacterial.
  • It inhibits bacterial protein synthesis, which in turn inhibits bacterial development.
  • It has a bacteriostatic action, inhibiting bacterial propagation but not destroying them.
  • It is used to treat infections by gram-positive and anaerobic bacteria, such as susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, and Clostridium perfringens.

Uses:

  • Clindamycin is best suited for oily skin; it easily controls excess sebum for an even complexion.
  • Clindamycin is loaded with active ingredients; it attacks blemish-causing bacteria, lowering the risk of new breakouts.
  • Clindamycin calms redness and irritation from acne lesions, for healthier-looking skin.
  • Clindamycin reduces acne and prevents future breakouts by regulating oil production and unclogging pores.
